The following content is for a physician’s reference to help determine a patient’s fitness for air travel.
1. The air pressure in the cabin is equal to the atmospheric pressure at a height of 2,300 meters (7,000 feet).
2. Flight attendants have received basic first-aid training, but do not have authorization to perform injections on patients; they also have the duty to maintain the state of the entire airplane and thus do not have time to provide passengers with special treatment.
3. The space available for moving around and the comfort conditions of the cabin are limited by the technical state of the plane.
Passengers with existing medical conditions are advised to contact us special assistant. For safety, passengers under the following circumstances are not accepted onboard:
1. Patients with the following conditions:
(A) Those with various infectious diseases in the infectious period, such as atypical pneumonia (SARS), Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), etc.
(B) Those who have recently undergone surgery and air travel may cause harm to themselves;
(C) A mentally ill person in a state of illness may cause harm to other passengers or themselves, or endanger aviation safety;
(D) Heart disease patients in a severe or critical state, such as severe heart failure, cyanosis or myocardial infarction (myocardial infarction occurred within 6 weeks before travel);
(E) Patients with severe otitis media, accompanied by blocked ear and throat;
(F) Patients who have recently suffered from spontaneous pneumothorax, or patients with neurological disorders that have recently undergone pneumothorax plastic surgery;
(G) Patients with severe mediastinal tumors, hernias and intestinal obstruction;
(H) Patients with head injury and increased intracranial pressure and skull fracture;
(I) Patients who have recently used metal wire for mandibular fractures;
(J) Patients who have suffered from polio in the past 30 days, or patients with bulbar poliomyelitis;
(K) Patients with severe hemoptysis, vomiting or groaning symptoms;
(L) Due to physical or medical conditions (including neurological or mental conditions), passengers who cannot take care of themselves without special assistance during travel;
(M) The sick passenger's condition suddenly aggravated or deteriorated during check-in procedures or boarding;
(N) Other patients suffering from diseases that are not suitable for flight.
2. Pregnant women whose has exceeded 36 weeks should not travel. Pregnant women whose has reached 32 weeks must present a certificate signed by a doctor which confirms the estimated date of delivery and informs that there are no implications.
3. Infants younger than 14 days old.
4. Women who are less than 7 days postpartum.
Please note that,
1. Passengers with mental illness must be accompanied by an adult.
2. Passengers who have recently undergone plastic surgery or other medical cosmetology surgery should take flight after 15 days surgery. Foy safety, passengers should provide a medical certificate and medical record certifying the date of the surgery at the check-in counter.
3. Passengers who are not sure whether it is suitable for travel due to recent illness, hospitalization, injury or existing health conditions, please consult your doctor and provide medical certification at the check-in counter.
